Messe Berlin receives Exhibition News Award 2013

• Berlin Exhibition Grounds voted ’Best International Venue’

London / Berlin, 15 April 2013 – At a presentation in London, Messe Berlin received the coveted Exhibition News Award 2013. Competing in the final for ’Best International Venue’, the Berlin Exhibition Grounds edged the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and Johannesburg Expo Centre. The jury announced the winner on 10 April at a gala at the Lancaster Hotel in London. The awards are presented in 22 categories by the international trade publication Exhibition News.

Dr. Christian Göke, COO Messe Berlin: “This award is a fantastic recognition of the efforts of all the employees at Messe Berlin. It was their commitment that helped make Messe Berlin’s turnover in 2012 the highest in the company’s history to date. The jury gave high marks to the new exhibition grounds at ExpoCenter Airport, an important investment project, being concluded on time and with no cost overrun. The progress currently being made with construction of the CityCube Berlin on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds also influenced their decision. We also scored well for the quality of our service for exhibitors and trade visitors. Not least, the statements given by numerous national and international event organisers also contributed to our success.“ They included Asia Apparel Expo, SITS Europe, World Publishing Expo and Coil Winding Berlin.
