• Debut as an independent event
• International attendance expected to exceed 50 per cent
• Regional focus on countries from Eastern Europe
• Partnership with leading UK trade association
• Synergies with parallel events SolarEnergy and WASSER BERLIN INTERNATIONAL
Berlin, 11 April 2013 – Following last year’s launch of BioGasWorld on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, the Trade Fair for Biogas Technology and Decentralised Energy Supplies is debuting as an independent event.
“It is still early days for BioGasWorld“, said Rainer Heinzel of the organisers ProFair Consult + Project GmbH. “However, I am confident it will soon become an internationally recognised event.“ 6,000 visitors from around the world are expected to attend when the fair opens its doors on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. The event runs from 23 to 25 April. “We expect international attendance to exceed 50 per cent“, said Heinzel.
The focus of BioGasWorld in Berlin is on the countries of Eastern Europe, ranging from Poland and the Czech Republic to the Baltic States and Russia. In Poland especially the prospects are good for biogas technology in the future. At BioGasWorld 2013 the focus is also on the UK. By collaborating with REA, the London-based Renewable Energy Association, BioGasWorld is expanding its range of partnerships. From now on Britain’s leading renewable energy association will be representing the fair in the UK.
Parallel with BioGasWorld numerous international conventions and specialist conferences will be taking place again, addressing topics such as dry fermentation, substrate processing and processing fermentation residues.
The trade fair partnering BioGasWorld is SolarEnergy, the International Trade Fair for Renewable Energy and Energy-Efficient Technology, which is taking place at the same time. A combined ticket is valid for admission to both fairs. Tickets to SolarEnergy and BioGasWorld are also valid for admission to Wasser Berlin International, the parallel event in Halls 1.2 to 6.2.
“We are confident this combination will produce long-term synergies“, said organiser Rainer Heinzel. A free shuttle service will be available to transport visitors from Solar Energy, BioGasWorld to Wasser Berlin International.
