The Messe Berlin Guest Events division is looking forward to a wide-ranging autumn programme packed with trade fairs, congresses and events. In the coming weeks numerous outstanding events will be celebrating their debut in the CityCube Berlin and on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Dr. Ralf Kleinhenz, senior vice president of Messe Berlin GmbH: “The many different event formats are just as impressive as their size, and I am particularly pleased that the congresses have attracted such international interest.”
The Berlin debut of an international medical congress signalled the start to this autumn programme of events in the German capital. EUROSPINE 2016, the conference on research, prevention and treatment of spinal diseases, took place for the first time in the CityCube Berlin with over 3,900 participants who had travelled from 80 countries. From 5 to 7 October around 150 exhibitors presented their latest findings. At the Patient Information Day, which was co-organised with the Centre for Musculoskeletal surgery of the Charité hospital, a wide range of lectures provided patients with all the latest information on spinal diseases.
From 13 to 16 October the halls on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds were transformed into a paradise for erotica fans for the twentieth time. At Venus 2016 a total of 250 exhibitors from 40 countries displayed their products not only to consumers but also to business partners in the adult entertainment sector. The organisers of Venus had expanded the B2B area of the largest international exhibition of its kind and once again presented the public with innovative erotica and lifestyle products and trends. This year the organisers again expected the lure of many products and a programme of erotic shows to attract over 30,000 visitors to the display halls
Running parallel from 15 to 16 October and occupying an area of 24,000 square metres, GERMAN COMIC CON BERLIN celebrated its debut on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. On the main stage visitors were able to experience film stars such as Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Christopher Lambert (Highlander) and Amanda Bearse (Married... with Children) at close hand. While national and international comic and manga artists showed off their talent in the Artists Alley, Cosplay fans also got their money’s worth in the Cosplay Universe.
From 20 to 23 October experts and fans of the iGaming affiliate market will be gathering at the Berlin Affiliate Conference, where speakers will lecture about internet-based sales channels for online gaming. Participants will be able to meet new sales partners, find out about the competition or can look for commercial retailers suited to their platform.
This year over 5,000 IT experts attended NetApp Insight in Las Vegas, and currently the CityCube Berlin is again preparing its version in the German capital. From 14 to 17 November leading innovators from this industry will have information on trends and forward-looking technology for professional data protection and data managemen.
